KANTANA the smiter

The other day on an old movie channel they were showing Saint Joan the story of Joan of Arc.  A true story of a young girl who in 1429 wins some battles for the French against the English and gets an idiot crowned king of France.  The Church pays her back by burning her at the stake for among other things wearing men's clothing and saying God Doth spake to to her.   She was born in 1412 so she was 16 when the church tortured her and then burned her alive.  Later on she was made a Catholic Saint by the church.  So much for females in combat in the 15th century.  I keep trying to imagine the mindset of the people back in the 15th century that would allow a religion to control the government as it did in Europe at that time.  But then again all you have to do is look at the Middle East and see the same things happening today.
This comic strip is beginning to take on a life of it's own and turning into a fantasy story of sorts and if this offends anyone all I can say is, "Go get a life!"  It is just a simple story and no animals are being harmed except for Carlos the coyote's nose, so far.
