Be careful for what you wish for.
This is a cartoon blog. Each day I attempt to post new cartoons to the blog. Since May of 2015 the subject has been rodents in outer space, a parody where I have combined Star Wars, star Trek and Battle Star Galactica in a running or serial foremat.

Rat built Stonehenge
What do you expect from a bunch of medieval rats?
I wonder if the post-evil rats were as bad as the
pre-evil rats?
This is a line drawing of the Brooklyn bridge
I did up yesterday
while watching more snow coming down.
I would draw some beach scenes with palm trees and warm sand but that is just too depressing.

Snow Bunny
The White House announced that many
Obamacare customers got the wrong tax information
and may have to refile their taxes this year.
It's pretty inconvenient — mainly just remembering
what you lied about the first time you filed your taxes.

Big snow
I actually read a book once....I was looking for a text book of sorts about how to write comedy
or humor called COMEDY WRITING SECRETS by Melvin Helitzer. He was a writer for several old time
TV sitcoms including " The Many Loves of Dobie Gillis," the show where Bob Denver played Maynard G Krebs. Yes, boys and girls there is a science or art of writing comedy. There are several formulas
pertaining to what is seen as funny: misdirection, the threes, the reverse, the double entendres,
incongruity, and pertaining to this cartoon: The Understatement.
BTW the only other book I have ever found pertaining to learning to write funny stuff was written by Steve Allen and it is not very funny.
Now if I could learn how to draw a snow flake it would have been perfect.

Davy & Millo
This came from my what if head game I like to play.
What if the coonskin cap Davy Crockett wore
was a real live raccoon?

Amazing Grace
*********************************
This is a song in the Mormon Hymn Book the words
were written by Charles Penrose about 1900
and the music was written about 1852.
For me it tells how the Mormon pioneers
must have felt seeing the Rocky Mountains
for the very first time and knowing
that those mountains would protect them
from the mobs of good Missouri Christians
who wanted to kill them just because they were Mormon.
They were leaving a land of religious freedom
for a land where they could practice their religion
with out fear of persecution.
************************
The Song Amazing Grace, for me tells how much
the atonement of Jesus Christ has changed my life
and how I do not deserve what he has done for me.
For 45 years I closed my eyes to God and Jesus Christ
and now my eyes are open wide. The Grace of God
is with me and feels like a warm blanket on a cold night.

North Park Twilight Zone
*****************************************
The idea for this hodgepodge of a cartoon
came from one of those What if sessions
I do to get inspired.
What if Doc Brown used Doctor Who's blue box
instead of that expensive car for time travel.
And what if he landed on top of that wicked witch?
This one came to me while watching a South Park
episode before they killed off Kenny.

It's hump day
*******************************
I see Bing! Is back to wearing his Summer attire ... life is back to normal in North Park, but is it?
I feel a rip in the space time continuum, things are about to happen in sleepy little North Park Colorado that will leave future generations scratching their collective heads ( that in it's self would be a sight to behold) wondering, " What the heck just happened".
Now all I have to do is a couple cartoons that will shock and amaze the masses. Piece of cake!

Due to technical difficulties...
Due to technical difficulties I have been unable to draw up some new cartoons for the past couple days. Namely my tablet has gone kapoot and I have to take it back to Verizon to have them un-kapoot it. I think I just used up too much battery before recharging it.
in the mean time here are some old cartoons (2012)I did up back in the days when I was actually drawing them on 11X14 legal size copy paper.

The next two cartoons are connected.
This was done on my lap to and drawn with a mouse. I wonder if I should have put in two moons and had the horns go Bzzzzz!?
I should be back up and running tomorrow for your viewing pleasure.

Happy Valentines Day!
The bottom cartoon may not mean anything if you
are under the age of 40 where you
were forced to listen to the oldies or
songs played on the radio before you were born.
I wonder if that could be a source of child abuse?

Cupids in Training
I actually started another cartoon of the
old guy cupid trying to hit a moving target
with his poisoned tipped arrows
(Love Poison don't you know)
and the idea hit me what if the old guys
had to go to Cupid boot camp and the
little baby cupids were the drill instructors.
Kind of reminds me of being an old guy
in a corporate office where the
manager is half my age. Or coming back from
constant combat in Vietnam to be under
the thumb of some staff NCO who had never
seen any combat and was taking
his duty of training you for future combat to the fullest.
Been there and had that done unto me.
But that was then and this is now and
now is much more better than then.

Tales from the dark side.
Poor little Malefisto, he gets no respect from anyone,
even his slave cat sidekick assistant, Eye-Gore.

Malefisto & his trusty side kick Eye-Gore
If a person can speak two languages like
Spanish and English they are bilingual.
If a person can speak more than two languages
they are called polyglots.
If they can speak only one language,
they are call American.

Sunday Scriptures
*************************************
Yesterday I was conversing with my Bishop, our local church leader and he suggested a verse out of the Bible for today:
"Give not that which is holy unto the dogs,
neither cast ye your pearls
before swine,
lest they trample them under their feet,
and turn again
and rend you."
Matthew 7:6
It got my wife and I thinking and after much prayer and discussion we came up with the idea of changing
from the little prairie dog Mormon missionary cartoons
and writing how the Mormons are so different
from everyone else to simple fluffy Bible verse cartoons.
These are examples of what I will be posting
from now on every Sunday.
In other words as my step-son Burt says, I should leave my Mormonism at the door step.

Eye-Gore and the Vampire squirrel
I last did some Eye-Gore the cat and the
Vampire squirrel last Halloween
and thought today would be fun to
bring them back. Please note that
I have tweaked both characters a bit.
Since the cat is under the control
of the Vampire Squirrel I thought
that the eyes would look best this
way and I added the black
Dracula/Batman cape to the squirrel.
Now all I need to do is come up with
a funny name for the demented vampire squirrel.
Below is my second cartoon of today.
To put you on the same page as me below
I have included a couple of the Eye-Gore
and vampire squirrel cartoons from last year.

Oh what a wonderful day!
Recently we down graded out television service from 1500 channels to about 20 most of which are Home shopping network type channels as such we are no longer spending 16 hours a day watching so many commercials and talking heads on cable news channels. As such we have found other ways to spend out down time. Like me drawing an extra cartoon each day and me and the wife going to the gym together for an hour a day. There is life after television.
