Get Along Little Doggie!

When I was about seven years old, I spent the summer on a Hemet, California Watermelon Ranch.  In California there are no farms, every place that grows a crop is a ranch.  One of my nieces owns a nut ranch up by Fresno and another is dating a guy who owns a Grape Ranch that sells grapes to Gallo Wines.  

The hard part of working on a Watermelon Ranch is at branding time..the melons do not like getting branded and then there is the chance of stampede.  You ain't lived until you have been involved with rounding up all those watermelons running a muck around the country side around Hemet, California.

Friday the 13th

Mister Timms was the name of the 

plastic gold fish

 in the movie Rango.

 This is a cartoon done by someone else of Rango and Hunter S Thompson combined.  In the movie Rango,  the little Gecko lizard who later became known as Rango ends up landing on Hunter S Thompson's convertable outside of Las Vegas.
