I actually took a class in college called "Literature Of The American West" it was about the same time the very first and original "Star Wars " movie came out. Our discovery was that the movie was built on the old west movie concept, set in outer space. If that were the case, so was Star Trek and Battle Star Gallectica. In reality many or most American movies are based on the Code of the West concept movies. Loner guy comes into a strange town and saves the local girl from the clutches of the evil land barren who wants to steal her ranch. Hans Solo was basically the part Clint could have played as a young guy but he is no longer young so I have him playing an old old former gun fighter who sided with the rebel alliance but has been in hiding on the barren planet Ammonihah keeping a low profile and waiting to once again to be called to service as the loner coming into town to beat the crap out of Darth Vader and the Emperor.
