Question for Mister Putin!!!

Please note the Super Bowl ring in the nose of the bear and if you look really close into Putin's left eye, you can really get a look into his soul.  George Bush was right.

Here we have Vlad Putin helping  Bashar al-Assad in his war efforts against those revolting peasants.

Hector does a no no.

My wife, Ruth, is a third grade teacher in a public school where the students mostly come from families where Spanish is spoken first at home.  Hector is a composite character of several of my wife's former and current students.
In Ruth's elementary school the students wear uniforms of tan pants and white polo shirts, and because of this, the hair is one of the few ways the kids can express themselves.  This self expression will be covered at a later date.
One of the things I noticed right off , during my visits, was the strange hair style the little boys have taken up of putting lots of mousse in the hair to bring their hair to a point on top of their head.  I do not understand this pointy hair thing but I guess they do.
Hector will always be nine years old and in the third grade no matter how well he does on his tests.
Hector Hernandez lives with his grandparents and 12 other cousins, aunts and uncles, 12 kids all under the age of 21 years of age and because of everyone one else demanding attention, he does not get any personal attention from his grand parents.  The answer to his problems is to become the class clown and this usually ends up with him sitting outside the principal's office instead of in class learning stuff.  Hector is really a smart little guy but since he has been lost in the shuffle we call life, he has  way to live up to his full potential.
Anyway for the time being, each Sunday I will be posting a new Hector cartoon on this blog so you can follow the adventures of this 9 year old dealing silently with the stress of living in a very extended family.

If you need me, I'll be on the 19th hole

"John Kerry says the 'W' in George W. Bush stands for 'Wrong.' But he still can't explain what John Kerry stands for." —David Letterman
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Senator John Kerry gave his opponents in the struggling Republican Party a much needed distraction when he told a college audience on Monday that if you don't do well in school, you might get stuck in Iraq. Some people are taking that as a slam against our troops. Kerry says it was a botched joke about the president being dumb. It doesn't bode well when you try to make a joke about someone being dumb and you wind up looking even dumber." --Jimmy Kimmel

Snow Birds.

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A man and his wife were driving their RV across Florida and were nearing a town called Kissimmee. They noted the strange spelling and tried to figure how to pronounce it -- KISS-a-me; kis-A-me; kis-a-ME?
They grew more perplexed as they drove into the town. Since they were hungry, they pulled into a restaurant to get something to eat. At the counter, the man said to the waitress; "My wife and I can't seem to be able to figure out how to pronounce this place. Will you tell me where we are and say it very slowly so that I can understand?"
The woman looked at him and said; "Buuurrrgerrr Kiiiinnnng."

A man walked into a Florida bar with his alligator and asked the bartender, "Do you serve lawyers here?"
"Sure do," replied the bartender.
"Good," said the man. "Give me a beer, and I'll have a lawyer for my 'gator."

Surprise Surprise

Two Hunters Two hunters decide to go moose hunting in Canada. They hire an airplane to drop them off in a remote region. The pilot drops them off and tells them, "I`ll be back in one week. No more than one moose - got it?" One week passes, and the pilot returns. The hunters have two moose. The pilot says, "Hey, I told you guys no more than one moose." One of the hunters replies, "Look the pilot told us the same thing last year and we gave him a `big` tip to take both moose out." The three of them argue for several minutes more. The pilot gives up and agrees to take both moose. Well, they load up the moose and fire up the plane. The plane shudders and strains trying to take off. It finally gets the wheels off the ground 5 feet, 10 feet. Whoops! It runs out of runway and smashes into a tree. The two hunters, dazed and confused make there way out of the wreckage. One hunter looks at the other and says, "Where the heck are we?" The other looks around and replies, "About 200 yards further than we got last year!"

Tarzans mid life Crisis

It has been about a year since the last time I did any cartoons of "Old Tarzan".  That was back in days of black and white hand drawn cartoons.  This model sheet of old Tarzan and Cheetah took me most of yesterday to do and am about half way through the new cartoon of old Tarzan.  It is much simpler to do cartoons where it is a different animal or person in each one.  When you start using the same characters they have to stay the same all the time.
Below are a couple of my favorites of the old Tarzan gags I did from last September.

Dewey Meets Jack Bauer

One of the cool things about cartooning is that, like writing a book or story, you can have your character do all sorts of crazy things that you would never do your self.  Like rock climbing with no ropes or safety nets.  Another would be to hook up with Jack Bauer for a 24 hour non stop adventure.

Jack never gets really hurt but he also never stops for food or water or a bathroom break.
One gets the feeling that if he and Batman were to get into a fight Batman would loose, as far as that goes so would Chuck Norris.
