Darth goes fishing #284

Even Darth Vader needs a day off from the stress of murder and mayhem.  With or without a fishing license.

Poor old Dewey he never knows who or what he will come across while out fly fishing on the Roaring Forks River, north of Aspen.

It seems that not all the Prairie dog warriors are 
on board to take on the 21st century in armor plated protection.

Did I mention all the cool stuff included in these new fandandangled contraptions?  Air conditioning, built in food and water and bathroom.  Once they put one of those units on their bodies there is actually no need to ever take them off.  It is a win-win situation...really.
 And did I mention they are built by that Stirling corporation ACME?

Acme strikes again #283

The good news is that the 21st century is finally coming to the little prairie dog security detachment on board the Star Trax Enterprise space craft.  The bad news is that it is coming via ACME Inc via way of IKEA, meaning everything has to be self assembled. Assembled by engineers would be fine but these are little prairie dogs who do not know the difference between a box end wrench and a Phillips head screw driver.

Tomorrow we continue with this upgrade.  BTW, the instructions are all in Chinese.

FLUX COMPASITOR #282

We were camping this past week in an area we had no internet access and it took me a few days to get back in the drawing mode.

Meanwhile.....They got rid of the ghosts.

Once again Bob Hope has hit the road,  maybe he will hook up with Bing Crosby.

Today we start something never before seen in any comic strip or cartoon book.  A musical..I am calling it DARTH VADER THE MUSICAL..catchy huh?    There will be dancing and several songs I dug up for the occasion.  I was going to use Michael Jackson but he is no long available so again I dug up another dead guy, Bobby Boris Picket, he has been out of work for years and works cheap.

The eyes have it. #276

Their mission is done and so the brave band of Ghost  fighting heroes are packing up to leave the Star Trek
Enterprise.  I have changed them back from being ratatized to their old human form,kind of sort of.

As I was drawing them I had to erase the eyes and then it it hit me and I actually started to laugh.

Here comes that phone call we have been waiting for.  I will be posting a special blog tomorrow, SUNDAY, so that you don't have to wait until Monday..for the fun.

Oh oh.On.it looks like Lord Vader has opened Pandora's Box in a matter of speaking.  We told him not to but will he listen to us?  

In Monday, we shall witness the parlay between Darth Vader and Captain Brad Harrah of the Star Trek Enterprise.  I am sure they will both act like adult rats.  

The Eagle has landed #274

When we see a sign "wet paint", we automatically touch the paint see if it is indeed wet.  When we get in an elevator we automatically punch our floor even if someone else already pushed that floor. And if we see a sign on a box  "do not open,"  we have a deep seated desire to open the box.

                                                                                        









     I bet Captain Harrah has been expecting this phone call.  ( yes boys and girls I know it is not a telephone call Darth Vader is putting through I just don't know what else we would call a big screen to big screen irate call.) I am sure someone will let me know what it is called.

Bill Murray and company have finished collecting all the hundreds of "Ghosts"...now what to do with them?

Captain Brad Harrah, that is one evil laugh there.  Who do you hate so much that you would send those nasty evil spirits to torment?

 We will find out tomorrow.  I sure hope they remembered to attach that note with each box, otherwise the gag will fall flat on it's nose.

We rejoin the little white rat morning the loss of his "Precious" and Red Green trying to fix the magic amulet with duck or duct tape.

Like Humpty Dumpty,  the magic amulet has been damage beyond repair but that doesn't stop old guys from wanting to fix it.

Can duct tape fix any and everything?  Find out tomorrow.

My Precious #270

I was going to call that white rat who has latched onto the magic amulet, GULLUM but then I remembered that those little white rats are like one unit and none of them has a name.  

 You may be wondering what the blue smoke is coming from the amulet.  it is more ghosts arriving from the other dimension.

Is the magic amulet, the portal that the "ghosts" transport from their dimension to ours, damaged beyond repair?  Check in on Monday to find out.

Rat Attack #269

The little white rats are characters I got from the old sci fi movie VILLAGE OF THE DAMNED.  It is a story of alien kids with white hair and lazer eyes..it was pretty scary for my young mind of 13 years old. (1960)

 Oh my!  An evil spirit has Coop!

 With the release of Coop Skywalker from the grasp of the evil ghost a decision has been made of the little white rats about the Magic Amulet.  Check in tomorrow for their decision.

This question was actually asked of my wife, Ruth, by our grand son, Cooper. 

Kids today seem to think that prior to 1970, what we saw was in black and white.  Most of the pictures and movies they see of the old days was in black and white.  To their young minds that is the way we saw our world.. in many shades of grey.

The magic amulet #265

Meanwhile on the Star Trek Enterprise the ghosties are getting stranger and stranger.  Bill Murray, head ghost buster, has finally figured where the ghosts are coming from and is determined to stop the invasion into the Enterprise.

Maybe tomorrow will be better for old Bill.
