Star Date 1325.9.5 Bloop #21

                              ***********************************************
By the way that is a hologram on top of R2D2 of the princess Della.  In my story the princess is a little girl but with all the powers of a true Jedi warrior.

Is it possible I would put more and more members of the FORCE eventually on the Star Ship Enterprise?  As I mentioned earlier, we are going to take the crew of the Enterprise places they never dreamed of going back in 1966 or Star Date 1325.9.5.

Tomorrow, we will be switching over to The flying Scotsman, General Chucks space pirate man of war.  He is about to visit his prisoner,  Jedi Princess Della of the Rebel Alliance.

Star Date 1325.9 #20

R2D2 on the Star Fleet Star Ship Enterprise?  What is going on here?  Of course George and Yoda will know what that thing is that looks like a trash can but I doubt that Captain Purty Boy will.

Tomorrow comes a request from the Princess Della to help the Rebel Alliance.

Della is my grand daughter and for fun I told her that she and her brother Cooper  were going to play parts in this really long epic tale.

Par-Lay? Star Date 1325.4. #19

 STAR DATE 125.4.

 Star Date 1325.4.

General Chuck & his faithful sidekick, GURDY.  As I have found out the hard way, Gurd, or Acid Reflex can cause stomach cancer.

You may be wondering about Pirate ship in outer space and why the sails..drum roll.........SOLAR WINDS........of course.  Keeping in mind the was a pirate ship in Never Never land.
General Chuck & Gurdy come from a race of hairless green rat's.  Depending on their status in their world comes from how many tails they have and as you can plainly see, Chuck has six tails on top of his head.

Tomorrow, "Rendezvous, with a trash can."

Captain Chuck #18

We are "camping" for the next few days and  I can't do my lettering on the lap top.  But we are able to up load to my blog in the middle of nowhere.
Captain Chuck, as I have mentioned before, is my very own nemesis; my cancer.  He is a real scum bag Goomba.  Tomorrow you will be able to see what my vision of cancer looks like.  Caution; he is really repulsive!  I have yet to draw the parasitic Goomba, but he is so fixed in my brain I can draw him blind folded.  I have never wanted to kill off a cartoon character as I do the despised Chuck.

for the welfare of the rest of the crew?

Star Date 1324.9 #16

"A Stranger stood at the Gates of Hell
and the Devil himself answered the Bell."
         Back to the Bridge.
************************************
Who is going to save the Star ship Enterprise from destruction from the ship's nursery?  Send in the Red shirts!  They can't all die, can they?
Mister Sulu, you will lead the charge!
OH MY !!!!
TO BE CONTINUED TOMORROW WHEN SULU WILL LEAD A GROUP OF RED SHIRT WARRIORS INTO THE DEPTHS OF HELL, OTHERWISE KNOWN AS THE SHIPS NURSERY, TO BRING BACK CIVIL ORDER AND HARMONY.
*************************
Actually, I can see Bill Shatner or Captain Kirk, dressing up like this for a part he has such a great sense of humor.

Star Date: 1324.7 #15

"YOU PICKED A FINE TIME TO LEAVE ME DORIS
WITH TEN HUNGRY CHILDREN
AND CROPS IN THE FIELD
I’VE HAD SOME BAD TIMES
BUT THIS TIME YOUR HURTIN’ WON’T HEAL
YOU PICKED A FINE TIME TO LEAVE ME, DORIS."

Actually I doubt that George had any crops in the field
but I doubt Kenny Rogers did either.

We did a cattle call and all these unemployed washed up old time Sci Fi Movie actors showed up, who would have guessed?

BTW, our prop department that has
everything we will be needing in costumes and
other props like toy space ships and even wigs for
Bill Shatner or Captain James T. Kirk.

One of these days I will introduce you to our prop manager  Marjorie Main, she is a funny old gal.  That could be an entire blog cartoon in it's self.  She has so many stories to tell of her days on the Silver Screen. Nice that we can provide work for the unemployed old movie actors.

Travels with Sulu #14

                                                     ***********************************
George a closet Jedi Knight on Star Trek?  Sure why not?

Some of the simple rules I am following in this project.
1. All humans are shown as rats.
2. All aliens or robots, will look like they did in the movies.
3. The personality of a character will stay the same as they had in the Space movie.

That is about it.  If there was a space movie alien it will show up here eventually.

Star Date 1324.6. #13

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
Once again I have changed the name of this little endever to Star Date:  such and such.  Each page will have a new number.  According to some Treki Web site Wikipedia:
A Stardate is a fictional system of time measurement developed for the TV show Star Trek. In the series, use of this date system is commonly heard at the beginning of a voice over log entry such as "Captain's log : Stardate 41153.7. blah blah blah. "
While the general idea resembles the Julian calendar currently used by Astronomers.  Writers and big wigs have selected numbers using different methods over the years.  Some more arbitrary than others.

I am starting at 1324.6 for no reason but will be going on from here.  The last digit is the hour and for awhile that is the only number that will change sort of like the TV show 24.  In other words that 12 hours that is mentioned in the Captain's log could be sometime next month.

The Ship's Oracle #12

If you have noticed that Captain Kirk's hair looks a little poofy today, it is because we were in a hurry putting this episode together and gave him the wrong wig.  Bill Shatner is such a trooper, he just went on like nothing was wrong.

I wonder if some people do not realize that
Yoda and Kermit have a lot in common besides
the same voice, they are puppets or Muppets.
They are not real living beings though sometimes it is really hard to tell for sure.

Lewey. #11

This page includes references to two really old movies.  First is the robot, it was seen in
the movie Forbidden Planet from 1956.  I saw that movie when I was 9 years old and had nightmares for a week after.

The second movie is a classic Humphrey Bogart movie by the name of Casablanca, 1942.  And no, I did not see that in the theater as I was not yet born.  It is from the very last scene in the movie.  It is a great love spy movie.

Lt Ackbar #10

Little known fact Admiral Ackbar was once a Lieutenant
and was sent as an exchange cadet/snuffy Lieutenant to the Star Ship Enterprise.

I had no clue until last night
but I am sure my smarty pants Trekkie son
already knew that, didn't you Dan?

Capt James T Kirk Speaks #9

One of the things I personally enjoyed most about
Captain Kirk was his over acting.  That and the way he,
Mr. Spock, Doc. McCoy and Scotty, seemed to always
have fun making each episode and the fact they
were always able to stay in character.

Tomorrow, onto the bridge.

George demands his rights. #8

yes.... I did draw that picture of the
Star ship Enterprise.

I have changed the name of this comic strip or
graphic novel thingy to "IT'S A TRAP!"
Because that was a famous line from one of the many
Star Wars movies.  Why would I do this?
Because if it were not for Star Trek,
I feel there would never have been any Star Wars
movies.  I know lots of Star Wars fans would argue
with me on that point but that is just
my humble opinion.
Beside the new title is kind of catchy.

I have a feeling that Columbo is going to be disappointed that there is no real coffee on board the Enterprise keeping in mind that they are millions of miles from the nearest Star Bucks.  Since I no longer drink coffee, I am sort of living vicariously through my characters.

My Son, Dan, asked me yesterday why George and Columbo were shanghaied or abducted to the Enterprise, I told him because I thought it would be fun.  But the real reason will appear next week and it will become obvious at that point.

In the Transporter Room #7

*********************
After two days, Columbo and George have been transported to the USS Enterprise about a million miles from Earth.  In a comic strip like this, it takes a wee bit longer to be transported than in the television show, because this is reality.

On the bridge of the Star Ship Enterprise #6

Drawing the bridge of the Star Ship Enterprise I have found is very complicated and if you Google Images of the Bridge you will find many many versions of the Bridge.  I did notice one thing all the blinking lights in the back ground so that is why I chose to show the bridge with all those colored dots.

The idea of a bunch of rats watching kitten videos on youtube was too much to pass up.

Anyway in this picture is Capt Kirk on the far left, Mister Spock, Chekov and Sulu standing.
I will be adding the other familier crew members as I go along.  Next up George and Columbo energize into the Enterprise and a brave new world for them.  Imagine their reaction.

Up to the mother ship #5

I was going to just take George up to the USS Enterprise but then I started hearing conversations in my head between Spock and Columbo.  At times I hear so many funny conversations in my head between the many characters I have created.  Just the thought of those two polar opposites in the same room driving each other bonkers...it was such a delightful thought I could not resist.

So anyway, George and Columbo are now on their marry way to the Star Ship Enterprise and tomorrow they will enter a brand new world.  At the same time in the near future the Crew of the Enterprise will be doing battle with my own Nemesis Chuck.

most illogical #4

Along time ago in a galaxy, far far away.....

I guess I have stepped away from doing simple
cartoons and doing almost a comic book here or a graphic novel.
 (A very short graphic novel).

Mostly I am just having some fun depicting iconic TV characters as rats, it has been an experiment on my part to see if I could do it and to see what they would look like.  It has been kind of fun for a sick old guy of 68.

With that thought in mind, tomorrow I will attempt to produce my most challenging cartoon ever.

RATS IN OUTER SPACE!

Including Capt Kirk, Spock and the the entire Enterprise crew, and a new member of the crew, George.

Are we to assume that Capt Kirk and crew just looked at stars on that big screen TV, who will be the evil nemesis for the brave crew of the USS Enterprise?   Could it be Chuck, the thing I call the cancer in my stomach?  I think it will be chuck.
Can the rat crew beat chuck in the battle of the galaxy or will the rats flee the sinking ship?

Lieutenant Columbo #3

"There are a couple of loose ends I'd like to tie up.
Nothing important you understand."
Columbo

The real reason I have been doing this series of cartoons
was just to see what Columbo would look like as a rat.
That plus, I just liked Peter Falk as the detective Columbo and hope that they never resurrect the character and try to get someone else to play the part like they did in the movies the Pink Panther.

Lenny's funeral #2

One of my all time favorite TV detectives, Columbo as a rat.
He will be around North Park for some time to come.  Not every day but when some crime is committed Columbo will be there...makes one wonder if Columbo is not committing all those crimes.

Lenny #1

                                             *****************************************
Yeah, I know this is pure unadulterated shameless rip off of two movies and a couple television shows, but I figure since South Park does it all the time it is about time for me to rip off South Park.

As in South Park, the little guy Kenny, dies every so often but comes back in a later episode.  Since cartoon characters cannot die, Lenny has not really died here and will reappear periodically and die once again every so often.

How will the little geeky nerd die?  oh many imaginative and demented ways, sort of like the movie
"Final Destination", where death is cheated and gets it's revenge.

Lenny is one of George's nephews and is by and large the biggest nerd I could come up with.  He makes Sheldon Cooper seem quite normal.

Anyway, tomorrow enters one of the greatest detectives of American TV history to solve the crime of the death of Lenny.

The uber lawn care

I have actually thought about doing what Karl
did to take care of our home lawn.
But our H O A or Home owners Association,
does not allow us to keep sheep on our property chickens yes, sheep no.
Back in the early days of the White House
sheep kept the lawn short.  Be nice if we could do the same these days.  they could cut the grass and fertilize it at the same time.
 Dream on, Grass Hopper.

It has been raining for the past week up here in
North Park and it seems like you can actually watch
the grass growing before your eyes.

Watching the grass grow

Does this mean that nasty old Karl is going to actually get off his keister and cut his " lawn"?  Or will he hire some teen aged kids to cut it for him.

Knowing Karl, I doubt it will be that expensive.

For all non-Americans and anyone under the age of 50 years old reading this, a "Keister" is old slang meaning either ones buttocks or a suitcase.

In flight meal

                                        ****************************
With what I am going through right now my thoughts
have turned to the dark side.  Thusly, for the time being
my stuff will not be on the cute happy side.
I have a feeling lots of people like the dark humor cartoons,
so let the fun begin.

Dining out

Father and son dining out...how adorable.

I had never done a cartoon from this angle so this is a new first for me.  Probably not a big deal to most people but it is just one of those personal firsts we always strive for even when you are an old guy like me.
